SAE Foundation visits Ntethelelo

During the Beyond the Numbers Tour, we visited our Johanessburg based partner, @ntethelelofoundation to meet with the youth leaders within the community. The experience was enlightening as we engaged in discussions about the diverse issues they face as young people in today’s society. More importantly we sought out solutions of tackling their concerns and how best they can take lead on such.

This visit was timely, as the global development community prepares for the UN Women - CSW69 session which will review the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action from 1995. The event will host the 30th commemorations at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. Together, with Ntethelelo Foundation we aim to galvanize youth voices for advocacy at the conference to review progress and propose strategies to address issues and gaps within gender inequality, ending gender based violence, quality education, economic empowerment and sustainable communities for youth.
